This project was the final project of four in this class and is the accumulation of all the things we have learned and been incorporating into our projects. We were to pick a conference talk from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The goal was to make a multi page spread using typographic hierarchy and design principle skills to emphasize and relate to the viewer what the message of the talk was all about without them necessarily having to read through the whole thing. The talk I chose was, Be Peaceable Followers of Christ, by Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. 

This project consisted of several design steps from initial ideation and sketching to first and second digital drafts where refinement and pushing the designs further happened. Some of the main things I chose to focus on was negative space and the use of a grid. These two design principles helped me to really dial in on creating nice typographical hierarchy as well as good alignment, placement, movement and space between elements so that each piece could stand alone but also compliment and work together with each other. 

Another main feature of this project was to create as much typographical hierarchy as I could by using a typeface and utilizing all of its fonts and weights and. a variety of sizes and methods to help different parts stand out. Something I did do accomplish this was creating different paragraph and character styles in Adobe InDesign so that I could break up all of the text through weights and sizes such as through paragraph headings, title of the talk, pull quotes and phrases and footnotes and their respective numbers as well as page numbers. I Also used colored banners and sections to break things up and provide more negative space so that each piece could be emphasized more.
